This is how my baby looks and how it sleeps right now! |

I'm beginning to feel lucky for puking on a mostly-daily basis; I know that sounds odd, but let me explain. Other than extreme nausea and vomiting during pregnancy I have had no complications, nor has the baby. We are both healthy and gaining weight steadily. I don't even have any nagging complaints like stretch marks, back pain or varicose veins... in my legs. ;o)
I am not swelling that much (wedding ring is just a bit snug), my carpal tunnel comes and goes (and mostly goes), and my hip pain from SPD only occurs when I lie down in bed on my side... even then, I know how to get it to go back into place. So yes, when I'm having a puking episode and I finally realize the heaving has stopped, I start to feel normal again--and very, very lucky. I have come a long way and have only a short way more to go. I can do this!
You have definitely come a long way, hon, and your strength and positive attitude are a huge inspiration to me for when I am pregnant someday! I am so glad that both you and baby are healthy and thriving, despite the nausea.
ReplyDeleteYou do only have a short way to go and the funny thing is, it wasn't all that long ago you were writing posts about trying to get pregnant! Time does fly doesn't it? That must be amazing to feel your little one moving, breathing, hiccuping inside of you. I can't even imagine. Closest for me is when my dog does those things beside me on the couch and it isn't nearly as heart melting as the way you write about it so I don't think they're the same at all :)
ReplyDeleteAgain, you manage to turn nausea into a positive thing. I am shaking my head in wonder. Haha.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making it so far in such a healthy way (other than the nausea). And can I just say, the baby in that picture look so damn crowded?? He is ready to come out!!
This is so wonderful! Congrats on this pregnancy as I know how much you wanted this baby.
ReplyDeleteThat's so exciting...it won't be long now!
ReplyDeletep.s. i love the blue you used for the baby's room!
Yay to that and you are doing great! Sounds like your baby is growing fast and doing well. I'm super happy about that. Have a wonderful morning, sweetie and talk to you very soon. xoxo
ReplyDelete@Heather thank you! I hope that when that day comes that you are not this sick!
ReplyDelete@Stacie I know!!! I think about that a lot. I remember looking down at my feet before I was pregnant and telling myself that before I knew it, I wouldn't be able to see them. And here we are.
And I think that our animals get us the closest possible to that feeling, actually. I have been amazed at how much ours have prepared us for this and how similar the wonderment is that overtakes you when you watch your little fur covered thing next to you breathing and living spontaneously on its own; it's very similar :o)
@JustMe I am constantly reminded that I have it better than some (or a lot) of women with complications that are scary.
And the baby in the picture looks how my baby feels in there! It's gettin' cramped!
@Amy Jo thank you SO much! I am so thrilled :o)
@Melissa thank you!
PS: that blue took us forever to decide upon! :o) LOL
@Diana thank you! Yay! Have a great week and continue to heal that ankle!
