Yesterday was the 8th... which is our monthly anniversary date. Shawn and I usually just say "Happy Bunversary" to each other and call it good with a kiss, but last night he had something planned for our grandiose 52nd Bunversary. Everyday is freakin' Valentine's with us fools.
Wednesday is a gym day so we usually come home, eat and go. I was planning on cooking fish which takes all of 20 minutes so I hadn't started dinner yet when Shawn got home. He told me to get ready and grab my gym stuff and that we were leaving. I mentioned food and he said "I might have a suprise."
So he drove us out to our favorite sushi place in Omaha, Sakura Bana.
I didn't know where we were going at all! I was so happy and there was even a parking spot right in front for us.
Every time we go it's quite the ordeal to see whether I break my chopsticks apart the right way or whether I eff them up terribly. This time the outcome was the latter occurrence. I broke off the chunk of chopstick to make them even again. You can see below how they should turn out...
The sushi chefs are so amazing here. They make such yummy, pretty maki rolls! We had hot green tea, too!

It was Happy Hour so we got a nice variety, complete with miso soup for surprisingly filling meal.
To finish off our light, perfectly filling meal we had a very unusual delicacy, indeed: red bean ice cream.
It was an amazing date on a regular ol' Wednesday.
While I was taking these photos he asked, "What, are you going to blog this?"
I smiled and said, "YUP!"
And miss an opportunity to share how wonderful my husband is with my bloggy gal pals?
Of course I'm blogging it!
