This is really how big the baby is... it's not any reference to Nebraska. |
Baby has been hanging out up near my navel more now that my uterus is stretching in 'segments.' I had no idea that happened. O.o
I'm hungry, hungry, hungry. Sometimes I surprise myself at how much I can eat at one time and how much I cannot; my stomach is still fickle and I still am plagued by morning sickness. Instead of sickness 20x/day it's now down to about 5-7x/week. I'll take it.
I'm exhausted a lot but I am driven by making things and getting things for the baby. I was so hungry yesterday when I came home that I did have a quick handful of cheerios but I was so blindly distracted by my pattern cutting for the baby's new Raider's hoodie (in progress!) that I didn't remember to eat and got sick. I'm crazy. I know.
My appointment is today at my doctor's office. I'll send out a quick update later!
And now... if you're pregnant, this next bit might entertain you and help you out:
Did you know there is such a thing as "maternity underwear?"
It's looks exactly how you probably think it looks.
And I refuse to wear them. Good thing, too. Because you know what? The sexy, regular-sized panties they sell at VS on the round tables fit the best! I know: who'd have thought?
I'd been steering clear of my stock of pretty undies after my belly started to grow and morning sickness hit me at 9 weeks. I don't know if that's when I started to feel not-so-pretty but I didn't "allow" myself to even try them until last week (when I started to look pretty to myself again despite Shawn's constant reassurance and compliments). Nothing else fit, so I figured they wouldn't as well.
Lemme tell you: Victoria's Secret is your friend when you are pregnant. The panties sit under the belly and they stay up. Bulk is truly not the answer, here!
Sooo... I might be going shopping for next week after all...

Wow, Baby is getting so big and strong! I also love VS panties and wear them all the time. Good to know they're a good pick for pregnant friends, too, maybe even as a fun shower gift. By the way, last night I had a dream that I was pregnant, and today, I'm feeling more baby fever than I have in a long time. I think that post I wrote must have kick-started it!
Wow you look PREGNANT in this foto :) Also, gorgeous...I love your hair. I am having so much fun following your blog. Good to know about the undies. What do maternity underwear do, go over your stomach??
@Heather, heck yeah shower gift of AWESOMENESS! Good idea!
That dream sounds fun. When women dream of being pregnant it means new beginnings for you, whether it's a new opportunity or an actual baby. Most often it's a new project ;o)
@JustMe, thank you! My hair has been outrageous since getting pregnant; I'm getting it trimmed up in a couple weeks.
And yes, maternity underwear go over the tummy, just like maternity pants with the stretchy belly so you'd have 2 layers of spandex squishing you. :o|
Yeeeeee...
