Second First Post

Today marks the 6-months to the day of our wedding.
My fiance and I have been through a lot as a couple the last three years. We have experienced death, life, fights, new pets, 3 moves, friends, trips, music, the list goes on... together. We are stronger after each new experience and I can't believe when I look back how much I am in love with him now and how much I though my heart would explode in years before from how much I loved him then, too.
I started this blog to make myself a timeline of the last 6 months that I'll ever be unmarried again. Time is going to go fast and I don't want to forget any of the things going on between now and then.

For basic progress marking as of today I have the following completed:
Officiant is booked and paid
Venue is booked with Deposit
-Menu Selected
-Drinks Selected
DJ is booked with Deposit
Dress has been found and paid with 1/2 down
Favors are Done
Centerpieces are Done
Thank You cards purchased
Guest Book, Flowergirl Baskets and Ring Pillow is purchased
Attendants are Notified
Family is Notified

So the theme of our wedding is going to be repeated elements of bunnies, butterflies and sunflowers. Our colors are Blues and ivory lace with hints of orange and yellow throughout. A lot of our decorations like the altar arch will be made of cottonwood tree branches from our neighborhood. I am DIY'ing the stuff out of my wedding. We're making the cake together as a pre-wedding project.
I am making all the paper goods for the wedding from Save the Dates to the Wine Bottle Labels. This month I'll be making up some sample invitations and posting them. Stay tuned.

Thank you for coming by to read my experiences as a wife and what came before it, as well. My husband Shawn and I were married June 10, 2011 in Omaha, NE! I enjoy sharing my stories and hearing other people's stories so please feel free to share any in the comments (especially dress stories!). I LOVE comments!
