That's almost the last thing to do for our wedding. It's one of the easiest things we have left to do also. I think I'm going to just go to a grocery store floral department with my floral order. I don't need but a few different kinds of flowers so I think that may keep cost down. My bouquet will be all sunflower with lots of greens around it like anise, ferns and the wider leaves. Something like this:
But I may just have it backed with a fern to look masculine and minimalist.
I'm doing all the guys' boutonnieres with a yellow-middled daisy and a fern just like this one:
The flowergirls will just have their baskets with petals because I remember being in a wedding with an itchy wrist corsage. The bridesmaids and maid of honor will have a mixed hydrangeas bouquet polka-dotted with white daisies. I found something exact but with white roses.
All it would be is a waste of money to us and an irritant to the little ones. The junior bridesmaids will carry a single gerber daisy with a long ribbon-wrapped stem.
The last thing I'll need to order for flowers are the 2 rings of flowers that will separate my wedding cake layers.
This is my design I sketched out.
This picture is atrocious but the idea is there. I have the cake topper already. It's actually kind of a neat little topper; it's 2 pieces that fit together as one. I found it at Terry's Village for only $10!
Tomorrow we're gettin' serious about some invitations and/or save the dates. I'll be posting hopefully again towards the end of the week with some sample pictures of the paper goods.
