So today I love me because:
- We went to the birth center last night. You guys... it's pretty. And warm. And clean. And it doesn't smell like hospital.
- I trusted my instincts and went with the doula I love. She gives me more assurance that I chose the right woman everyday. When I told her we were bummed about no home birth, she framed it to me like this "We will transfer to the birth center at the latest time possible." So now in my mind, I'm having a home birth and transferring to the center.
- I didn't puke today!
- I'm in full-on production mode for making baby things. If I am wielding scissors and fabric, keep your fingers farrrrr away.
- I made an appointment with the midwife to transfer my prenatal care over to her for the remainder of my pregnancy. I know I'll be more comfortable there.

What did I accomplish this week? Hmm. Had a great horseback riding lesson, had a couple of nice dinners out with husband and friends...and got my desk cleared off at work.

Glad you found a doula you like. My friend had one and had a very good experience with her especially after her son was born. The doula stayed on and helped her with everything which was good because her family lives in a different country and it was her first baby.
And I'm happy I accomplished surviving working at Macworld. It was crazy, busy, and a lot of work. But I'm looking forward to doing it again next year so it wasn't bad. In fact, it was a lot of fun.

I still have to think what I'll do this week. Mostly business... and a Valentine's Dinner date with my hubby.

Aw, that picture makes me so happy! I'm glad to hear you loved the birth center and are able to do a transfer late in the process so that you can have the kind of birthing experience you want. I'm feeling super happy this week about all the progress I've made with my writing and determining my path in life. The more I write, the more I feel like it's the right path for me, no matter how many other things I've tried.
