Yesterday at the Doctor's office I got a urinalysis (normal!), weight check (154! YAY!), blood pressure (normal!), Group-B Strep swab (have to wait on that), and a cervical check.
I got checked last week when I was having contractions and it was "like a Werther's" down there... well, not anymore.
We're at 3-centimeters dilation, ladies and gentleman. This baby could be here tomorrow or in 3 weeks from now. It just depends on when he or she would like to come out, because my body is preparing already. I'm also 50% effaced or "thinned out" down there. All the contractions that are continuing are working on my body to get this baby out!
I'm kind of excited... and I'll keep you posted.

OoOoOoooh! I am so excited for you!! So if we get a lot of silence from you we should be excited and sending positive thoughts? I'm jumping up and down inside. Have you decided if you'll post pictures on the baby on your blog? Oh, I hope you do! So happy for you :)
p.s. That wasn't TMI at all. How is talking about your cervix TMI on a pregnancy blog? In fact, I don't think anything is TMI on a pregnancy blog. And finally, I think it's silly that we as women feel like we can't talk about our bodies without saying "TMI..." I think that comes from the Forums and society at large. You better give us ALL the details in the labor story! Those of us who have to go through it want to know!
